Hey ppl just ignore if there is any mistakes in this post ya…cause I guess this is the longest one that I have ever typed so far. So there got to be lots of mistakes ..but pls ignore it ya! Thanks a bunch. Love ya lots !
Pre-preparations:
Woke up at 5.45am to go to TKGS for teachers' day celebration and not MJC ...cause officially I was on sick leave that day (I am sure u ppl know the real meaning)...but the fact is.. I was sick for the past few days ...was having sore throat and stuff… so just made myself look even more sick. That’s it.
Upon reaching TK:
Reached TKGS n guess what? It was raining. I had enough of rain the day before when I got totally drenched. Either I stay at the bus stop or get wet and go into TKGS. So, after getting wet here and there… made my way into TKGS. All the past memories came back. Though me and my friends were complaining about how ‘nice’ the school looks now… but we really missed each and everything in TKGS…from teachers (esp. their gossips), the canteen (the dosai, nasi lemak and etc), prefects’ den (prefects’ second home where u can find almost everything under the sun), the foyer (where we often just lie down and let out our frustrations. In most cases we go there for a short nap)…everything that brings back memories…my friends and me simply miss those things.
A.C.E.S Day dance:
Ok. Enough abt memories and stuff. The Teachers’ Day Celebration kicked start with A.c.e.s Day dance. Yet another kick boxing dance… it was like more girly. I preferred the one taught at MJC. But I did had fun as Clara and me joined in and made a fool out of ourselves while trying to follow the dance steps from our juniors and teachers (esp. Mdm Chee and Mdm Lee).
The TKGS “Beauty pagent”:
After that was “Beauty pageant” where the Sec 1 and Sec4 teachers were to dress up a student from their class with the given materials and also provide an explanation about their “model”. It was really fun to see the teachers smoking their way through just to give an appropriate explanation.
Teachers’ Day Concert Time:
Finally it was Concert Time. Was really looking forward to that. Year after Year Teachers’ Day Concert is ‘the thing’ that each and everyone look forward to… cause the performances will be simply great…the teachers’ video…ohhhhhhhhhh…we just love it. I esp. like the one 2 years back where the teachers act out their own version of Amazing Race…simply great and hilarious…we laughed out hearts out. Well this year…frankly speaking the performances were not that great…but they tried their very best. The best part of this year’s concert was the teachers’ dance…where like usual they made fools out of themselves and made everyone laugh and stuff.
Story of my missing phone:
Went Prefects’ Den. Left my phone and wallet there and went to toilet. Came back to den and saw that my phone was missing. Can u imagine it was like only 5+ min and my phone went missing? I left my phone inside my back and went toilet…when I came back to take it…my bag was like toppled and phone was missing. Ahhh…. was sooo frustrated. Looked around. Aneesa also helped to look around school and den …but could not find it. Finally I was like about to call my mum to tell her that it was missing…then one of my juniors was clearing some papers and found my phone lying there. Thank god! She saved a scolding from my mum. Just wanna thank those ppl who helped me in search of my phone…esp. aneesa and juniors. Thanks a lot.
Time to eat:
It was time to eat! Yeah. Clara’s stomach and mine was like grumbling. We were to meet Cuifang at Cityhall for lunch. Clara and myself were lazy to take bus so we went around asking all the teachers’ that we saw to give us a ride to city hall. Some teachers were busy while others did not have a car. Guess lady luck was in our hands, so got hold of Mr. Collin…and he dropped as at City hall MRT station.
@ Thai Express:
Waited for Cuifang and to arrive. Hmm…did not meet her for sooooooo long. She was still the same…except for the fact that she put on a bit of weight. Probably cause she was in Culinary and while cooking sample too much food. hahahaha. Just kidding. Aniwae, after that there was like a slight argument on where to eat. Finally decided to go to Thai Express. Went there it was like full…so decided to go to the one at Esplanade. By the time we reached there all 3 of us were bloody hungry. We quickly ordered food and were gossiping away while the food was being served. We were talking about random stuff…from teachers’, the teachers’ day celebration, how stubborn Clara is, SAJC logo looking weird at the center of Cuifang’s t-shirt, the VS guys who were there to eat, the waitress who could not speak proper English, the waitress who served as the wrong food, the manager who told the waitress not to give extra plate of sauce or something, the restaurant that was beside Thai Express, the few waitress who were enjoying their food at the table nxt to us…… … n etc. We just talked and talked… there was simply too many things and issues to share.
Crazy moments @ Swensens:
Cuifang suggested that we should go and eat ice cream, drink coffee or desert after that. After long consideration decided to go to Suntec to eat ice cream at swensens. All of us were bloody full…so dragged out legs all the way swensens at Suntec. Got a seat, sat down and ordered 2 choco mint (for Clara and myself) and 1 vanilla for Cuifang. I have never seen any person eating a cone ice cream horizontally … but Cuifang was just doing that. Even took a spoon to dig out and push some ice cream to the bottom of the cone. Clara and myself…simply laughed at her while she was doing all this cute ‘nonsense’. All of us got tried after laughing, eating and talking nonsense…especially Clara Tan …so she took a short nap while I was teaching Cuifang how to lie to her tuition teacher as she did not want to go for tuition. Her teacher also agreed to postpone her math tuition to the day after. It was time to pay the bill…everyone was almost broked…. we diged out all the money we had to pay for the ice cream. Cuifang badly wanted to buy some buns for her family (ahhh such a filial child man!) so I chipped in $2 for her ice cream.
It was time to say Bye Bye:
Then made our way to MRT station. Before that stopped as Cuifang went to buy buns for her family …. at Crystal Jade if not mistaken. She got only money for 3 buns but have 4 family members (including her)..so bought only 3… poor her did not get one for herself (hmmm such a filial child…hahahaha). Anyway, on our way to MRT… stopped at shops here and there, pushed each other while talking rubbish. But the whole day was simply great. Thanks to Clara, Cuifang, the juniors who gave me flowers, the teachers and everyone who made it 31 August 2006 a special day for me. Thanks guys
